9Ark Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how 9Ark Labs ("9Ark") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of users located in the United States who access https://sleep.9arklabs.com or the 9Ark Pets Calming Field (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
9Ark is a United States-based company. The Service is intended solely for users within the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use, which govern your access to and use of the Service. Defined terms not otherwise defined here carry the meanings assigned in the Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
9Ark collects only the limited categories of personal information described below.
Account Registration Information. When you create an account on the Service, we collect your name and email address. These are the only personal data fields we require you to provide directly.
Server Log Data. Our servers automatically record certain technical information each time you access the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and access timestamps. This data is collected for security monitoring and basic operational purposes only.
Payment Data (Collected by Stripe). 9Ark uses Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") as its third-party payment processor. When you make a purchase through the Service, Stripe may independently collect information necessary to process your transaction, including your billing address, the last four digits of your payment card number, card expiration date, and related billing details. 9Ark does not collect, receive, or store full credit card numbers or other payment card data on its own servers. All payment information you provide during checkout is transmitted directly to Stripe and is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy. We encourage you to review Stripe's privacy policy before submitting payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following limited purposes:
Account Creation and Authentication: to create, maintain, and secure your Account, verify your identity, and enable you to log in to the Service.
Service Communications: to send you transactional messages related to your Account, such as registration confirmations, payment receipts, service updates, security alerts, and responses to your inquiries.
Payment Processing: to facilitate and complete transactions through Stripe, including transmitting necessary information to Stripe so that your purchases or Subscription payments can be processed.
Server Security and Operations: to monitor and maintain the security, performance, and stability of the Service using basic server log data, including detecting unauthorized access or abuse.
Legal Compliance: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests, and to enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements.
We do not use your personal information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or marketing by third parties. We will not use your information for purposes materially different from those described above without providing you with notice and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
3.1 Payment Processing. 9Ark uses Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") as its sole third-party service provider for payment processing. The categories of information collected by and shared with Stripe are described in Section 1(c) above. Stripe's collection and use of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
3.2 No Advertising or Marketing Sharing. 9Ark does not share, sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners. No personal data is transferred to any third party for advertising or promotional purposes.
3.3 Cookie Policy Cross-Reference. Our practices regarding cookies and similar tracking technologies are described in our separate Cookie Policy.
4. Data Retention, Security, and Children's Privacy
4.1 Data Retention. 9Ark retains your name and email address for as long as your Account remains active. If you request deletion of your Account, we will delete or de-identify your personal data within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Basic server log data is retained for no longer than ninety (90) days and is then automatically purged.
4.2 Security Measures. 9Ark implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and secure server infrastructure. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and 9Ark cannot guarantee absolute security.
4.3 Children's Privacy. The Service is not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18). 9Ark does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian believes that a child under 18 has provided personal data to 9Ark, please contact us at hello@9arklabs.com. Upon verification, we will promptly delete such information from our records.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information 9Ark collects, uses, and discloses; (b) request deletion of your personal information; (c) correct inaccurate personal information; and (d) not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. 9Ark does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
